Mumbai University Admission Process — पूरा Flow समझें

Samarth Portal पर MU admission round-based होता है। पूरा process कुछ ऐसा है:

Step 1: Registration कैसे करें

Registration से पहले ये तैयार रखें

12th Marksheet (या equivalent — marksheet number और percentage/CGPA)
CUET Scorecard (अगर CUET-based admission है)
Aadhaar Number
Active Mobile Number (OTP इसी पर आएगा — पूरे admission process में ये number active रखना ज़रूरी है)
Email ID (जिसे regularly check करते हों — important notifications यहाँ आएँगी)
Passport Size Photo (Digital copy — specifications नीचे बताई हैं)
Signature Scan (Digital copy)
Category Certificate (अगर applicable — SC/ST/OBC/EWS)

Registration Step-by-Step

Step 1: Browser में muugadmission.samarth.edu.in खोलें। Chrome recommended।

Step 2: “New Registration” पर click करें।

Step 3: Basic details भरें:
– नाम — exactly जैसा 12th marksheet पर है
– Date of Birth
– Mobile Number
– Email Address
– Valid ID (Aadhaar number)

Step 4: Mobile और email दोनों पर OTP आएगा — दोनों verify करें।

Step 5: Password create करें — Strong password बनाएँ (8+ characters, 1 capital, 1 number, 1 special character)। ये password लिखकर रखें — पूरे admission process में लगेगा।

Step 6: Registration complete। अब आप login कर सकते हैं।

Registration Tips

नाम में एक letter भी अलग मत लिखें। अगर 12th marksheet पर “PRIYA RAJESH SHARMA” है, तो वही लिखें — “Priya R Sharma” या “Priya Sharma” नहीं। ये बाद में document verification में problem create करेगा।

Mobile number ऐसा दें जो पूरे admission season active रहे। बहुत सारे students ये गलती करते हैं कि registration किसी और के number से करते हैं, और बाद में OTP access नहीं मिलता।

Step 2: Application Form कैसे भरें

Registration के बाद login करें और application form fill करें।

Personal Details Section

– नाम, पिता का नाम, माता का नाम
– Address, contact details
– Category (General / SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PwD)
– आपके parent/guardian का annual income (scholarship eligibility के लिए)

Academic Details Section

– 10th class — Board name, passing year, percentage/CGPA, marksheet number
– 12th class — Board name, stream, passing year, percentage/CGPA, marksheet number, subjects और marks
– CUET Score — Application number, overall score, subject-wise scores (अगर applicable)

बहुत ध्यान से भरें। ये numbers directly merit list calculation में use होंगे। एक digit गलत = wrong merit position = wrong college allocation।

Document Upload Section

यहाँ सबसे ज़्यादा students अटकते हैं। Documents की specific requirements होती हैं:

Photo Upload Requirements

– Format: JPEG / JPG
– Size: 10 KB – 200 KB (इससे बड़ी file reject होगी)
– Dimensions: 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm (passport size)
– Background: सफ़ेद (white)
– Recent photo, clear face, no sunglasses

Signature Upload Requirements

– Format: JPEG / JPG
– Size: 4 KB – 100 KB
– Black ink, white paper, scan/photograph

Step 3: College और Programme Preferences कैसे Select करें

ये सबसे critical step है। आपकी preferences directly decide करेंगी कि आपको कौन सा college मिलेगा।

कैसे काम करता है?

Portal आपको multiple colleges और programmes select करने देगा। आपको इन्हें priority order में rank करना होगा — 1st preference, 2nd preference, 3rd preference…

जब merit list generate होगी, system ऊपर से नीचे आपकी preferences check करेगा:
– 1st preference college में seat available है और आपका score cutoff meet करता है? → वहाँ allocation
– 1st preference नहीं मिला? → 2nd preference check → और ऐसे आगे

Preferences Select करने से पहले ये Research करें

पुराने साल के cutoffs check करें। MU की previous years की cutoff lists usually mu.ac.in पर या news articles में मिल जाती हैं। इससे आपको idea मिलेगा कि realistic preferences क्या हैं।

Commute consider करें। Mumbai बहुत बड़ा शहर है। Churchgate area का college Thane से daily travel = 2+ hours one way। अगर hostel facility नहीं है, तो location को preferences में factor करें।

Seniors से बात करें। College का real experience कोई cutoff list नहीं बता सकती। Placement record, faculty, infrastructure — ये सब seniors बता सकते हैं।

Realistic + Aspirational mix रखें। Top 2-3 preferences aspirational (high cutoff colleges), middle 3-4 realistic (आपके score range में), last 2-3 safe (lower cutoff — backup)।

Step 4: Application Fee Payment

Application form complete करने के बाद fee pay करें।

Payment Options: UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking

Payment Tips

– UPI सबसे reliable — कम issues, fast confirmation
– Payment करने से पहले सारी details final verify कर लें — submit + payment के बाद ज़्यादातर details edit नहीं हो सकतीं
– Payment successful होने के बाद receipt download करें
– Screenshot भी लें (portal page + UPI app confirmation दोनों)

Step 5: Merit List और Admission Acceptance

Application submit होने के बाद wait करें merit list का।

Merit List कैसे Check करें

Step 1: muugadmission.samarth.edu.in पर login करें।

Step 2: Dashboard पर “Allocations” या “Merit List” section check करें।

Step 3: अगर आपको कोई college allocate हुआ है, तो वो यहाँ दिखेगा।

अगर College Allocate हो गया

Deadline के अंदर accept करें। Usually 3-5 दिन मिलते हैं। Deadline miss = seat cancel.

Process:
1. Login → Allocation accept करें
2. Admission fee pay करें portal पर
3. Document verification — portal पर scheduled date/time आएगा, या college जाकर करना होगा
4. Verification successful = Admission confirmed!

अगर First Round में Allocation नहीं मिला

Hope मत छोड़ें। Multiple rounds होते हैं:
– जिन students ने first round में seat accept नहीं किया, उनकी seats second round में vacant होती हैं
– Second round में नए colleges मिल सकते हैं
– Spot round भी हो सकता है (physically college जाकर)

Photo/Document Upload Fail हो रहा है

– File size check करें — limits ऊपर बताई हैं
– Format JPEG/JPG होना चाहिए (PNG accept नहीं होता usually)
– Browser cache clear करें
– Different browser try करें

Login नहीं हो रहा

– Password case-sensitive है — CapsLock check करें

एक application से कितने colleges में apply कर सकते हैं?
